Just One Rose
Last Thursday, while I was walking down the steps of the Palma Hall of our University, a good looking guy dressed in black and white striped formal wear suddenly approached me, ecstatically greeted me, “Good Morning!” handed me a rose and smiled. I and he nodded our heads to each other as I went on to my way and he went to on his way to hand more flowers.
I’m not a big flower person but I think that the act of receiving one long stemmed rose is something very random in the middle of a school day. I inspected the rose one more time and realized that there was a note stating: “The reason why this rose exists is the same reason why it blooms.” I think it is very sweet and I am so grateful to the fraternity who made my day. I don’t care if it’s “A Day For Roses.” They made me and dozens of other girls smile. Isn’t that thoughtful?
If you could brighten one’s day, then do it. You’ll realize they’ll brighten yours too.
